Three winners in state wrestling championships

Anza Trail School competed at the 2023 Middle School State Championships in Prescott, and came home with state champs for  the second year in a row. Miabella Martinez, left, won her second state championship, at 98 pounds. She was the first girls state champion last year for the Sahuarita Unified School District and won the girls outstanding wrestling award both years. Derek Wade, center, won in the 73-pound class, and Marcus Killgore repeated as state champ, competing in the 118-pound weight class.
