I was in the Continental Safeway recently to pick up Pepperidge Farms sausage buns for dinner, plus one other item. When the cashier rang up the rolls they came up at $5.79. When I told him they were on sale for $3.49, he checked with hand-held machine and said that showed them to be $5.79.

I said the shelf tag had the lower price and then showed him the package with the manufacturer's price of $4.99. So not only didn't the sale price come up, but they also were charging more then the packaged price. This seems to happen quite frequently at this store.
