I would encourage the person who reviews and approves opinions for the paper to consider what I think is “exceptionally” out of bounds opinions. I’m pretty convinced your paper is trying to further divide readers. Two of such opinions are in the Nov. 21 paper.  

There may come a time (I hope so) when a news outlet allows these sort of opinions is held legally responsible for potential loss. By loss I refer to reputation, job harassment, stalking, discrimination.

I’m certain you have language in your submission process to avoid potential litigation but clearly we know your judgment of “what”’you do with what you get is not exempt from risk.

Most of us accept differences in opinions. What we don’t want are excessive assertions of those who are way off the mark. Please clean your act up.
