Robert "Ace" Harold Oestreich of Green Valley AZ, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2019, at the age of 78, surrounded by his family.
Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judith (Sauer) Oestreich; sister, Karen (Dennis) Long of Green Valley, AZ; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Jayne Sauer, John and Jayne Mayer along with many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his children: sons, Curt (Peggy), Chris (Sherry), Jason (Traci) and daughter Kimberly (Gene). Grandchildren Ashley (Landon), Rachael (Tony), Amber, Timothy (Ali), Cassandra, Ana (Grant), Treva, Ryleigh, Crystal (Krisa), Thomas (Brittney), Jessica (Corey), Jennifer and Amanda, and 12 great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth (Westphal) Oestreich of Waukesha, WI.
Bob was born on Feb. 11, 1941 in Watertown, WI and grew up in the Milwaukee area. He joined the Air Force in 1958 and served until 1962, while being stationed in Duluth, MN.
Bob and Judy owned the Riverhouse Inn and Florena Supper Club in Medford, WI from 1976 through 1987. They moved to Minnesota where he worked for Pomps Tire Service, retiring in 2003. Following retirement, he and Judy made their home in Green Valley. He was a member of the American Legion Post 66 and drove for Class Act Transportation and A-Ok Towncar Service.
A celebration of life will be held in Green Valley in November. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family to be designated at a later date honoring his memory. The family would like to thank the medical team at Arizona Oncology, the Green Valley Hospital, and Chris at the Oasis Cremation & Funeral Care of Tucson, AZ.
