Robert Lynn Jenkins Sr., 84, died on May 3, 2019, in Green Valley, AZ. He grew up an only child on a farm outside of Akron, Ohio.
He graduated from Springfield High School in Akron and from the University of Akron with a degree in psychology. In college he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, rose to the rank of colonel in the Air Force ROTC and was president of the psychology club. After a brief stint in the Air Force he enrolled in the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, Atlanta, GA, graduating with a Master of Divinity degree in 1960. All of his ministry was in the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church where he served churches in Jacksonville, Merritt Island, Deland, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale.
He is preceded in death by parents Percy A. Jenkins and Lois McGuire Jenkins. Bob is survived by his loving wife Ann Heetland Jenkins; two sons, Bob Jr. (Sheri), Toledo, Ohio, and Paul, Coral Springs, FL; stepchildren, Brad Heetland (Donna), Craig Heetland ((Kathy), Pam Paciolla; grandson, Jack and granddaughters Tabitha, Erica, Kayla, Genna, Kristen, Kelsey, Paige; five great-grandchildren and many relatives in Ohio.

Services will be June 1, 11 a.m., at United Methodist Church of Green Valley. Interment will be beside his parents in Akron, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the church.
