Edith Roberta Heberer-Lauterbach was called home by God on the 27th of August 2021. She was born in Kewanee, IL on the 9th of July 1939, to John H. and Sophie Heberer. During her 82 years, she worked as a beautician, teacher, and counselor while earning her BA from Purdue University and MS in Education from Indiana University. She is survived by her sisters Fran Stillions, Kay Peterson, and Marian Landry, and her sons Stephen E Lauterbach and Kevin J Lauterbach with his wife Yvonne and their daughter Tatjana.

She retired in 2005 to Green Valley where she pursed her art while in the Sana Rita Art League. She won First Place at the 10th Annual Eva Briggs Abstract Art Competition with one of her favorite works, “Rorschach/Wais” in 2014.

In memorial, we placed a gargoyle from her garden in a bed of purple flowers at the Desert Meadows Park in Green Valley, AZ and her ashes will be interred in Kentucky where we can visit her.

In lieu of flowers or cards, we ask for donations made in her name to the Animal Refuge Center of Vine Grove, KY (http://animalrefugecenter.org/)
