C. Kermit “Kit” Ewing, 75, died Aug. 7, 2018. Kermit was a resident of Green Valley, Arizona and is survived by his sister, Hillary Combs of Dandridge, TN. He is preceded in death by parents Kermit and Mary Ewing of Knoxville, TN.
After attending the University of North Carolina, he later joined the Peace Corps. There he worked in communications for a new television station in Bogota, Columbia.
After acting and directing in theaters in Knoxville, TN, he moved to Tallahassee, FL to act and direct, then became a technical director for the Tallahassee Little Theatre of Florida, all while pursuing his passion of photography. He worked for many years for Land and Home Magazine. Kermit had photos published in local publications, in both Knoxville and Tallahassee.
Kermit resided the last 15 years in Green Valley, Arizona. He loved the desert and the local farmer’s market. He will be long remembered for his colorful garb, kind and garrulous nature, and slightly eccentric behavior. Kermit was always accompanied by his beloved dog Teddy, whom he adopted from The Animal League of Green Valley. Memorial contributions to honor Kermit made be made to The Animal League of Green Valley.
