A Green Valley man who has been missing since heading to a gun-safety course Saturday morning was found dead Sunday evening in the desert west of Interstate 19.
No foul play is suspected in the death of Bishop Buckle, 75, who lived in the 600 block of West Via Alamos in Green Valley.
Buckle left his home about 7:30 a.m. to attend the course in the Green Valley area and was seen about 5 p.m. at the Sportsmen's Shooting Area about a half mile north of Elephant Head and I-19 Frontage roads, according to PCSD.
Buckle had diabetes but no other known medical issues. A Sheriff's search and rescue team found his vehicle about 7 p.m. Sunday in the desert west of I-19 and south of Canoa Road along with Buckle's body. Cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's office.
