Semi rollover

A semi-truck rolled over on southbound Interstate 19 around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning, closing the highway to traffic at the Continental Road exit until around 9 a.m.

A rolled over semi-truck closed down the southbound lanes of Interstate 19 at Continental Road on Friday morning.

Quentin Mehr, a spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, said shortly before 3:30 a.m. the driver lost control of the vehicle, ran of the road, overcorrected and rolled the vehicle. The driver was uninjured.

However, the truck blocked the southbound lanes of I-19 and traffic was being diverted onto the west frontage road until the Canoa Ranch Road exit.

The Interstate was open to southbound traffic again by 9 a.m.
