El Tour de Tucson swept through Green Valley and Sahuarita on Nov. 20 — the first time the event has headed south in its 38-year history. Cyclists on the 57-mile route rode through the northeastern part of Sahuarita while the 102-mile participants cycled mostly around the edges of both communities then down Sahuarita Road before heading north on Nogales Highway. People lined streets to watch the cyclists, some applauding as they streamed past.
