Odors emanating from the wastewater treatment plant on Old Nogales Highway under certain conditions should be far less noticeable after work recently approved by the county is completed.
The Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department will begin work by May on a project involving several measures to minimize the plant’s aromatic effects. The work is being paid for by $2.4 million in sewer obligation bonds authorized by the Pima County Board of Supervisors this month.
