Thanks from Amado

Great thanks to all of the organizations and individuals who responded, last month, to the need for donations to purchase milk and eggs for the Amado Food Bank.

In Green Valley/Sahuarita, members of Change is Happening!, the Democratic Club of the Santa Rita Area, the Samaritans and the Unitarian Church all made generous contributions.

As often happens, people think about donating to food banks around holidays, but the need is the same year round. As the Green Valley representative to the Advisory Board of the Amado Food Bank, I became particularly concerned about the lack of protein in the food supplies after December. For that reason I asked organizations to consider specifying that the monetary donations be applied to the purchase of milk and eggs for Amado.

The clients, staff and volunteers of the Amado Food Bank thank their Green Valley/Sahuarita neighbors for their generosity.
