Wells Fargo, Wachovia centers set to combine

Wells Fargo & Co. and Wachovia’s financial centers in Arizona will become Wells Fargo banking stores in March 2010, pending regulatory approval.

There will be 11 additional banking stores in Wells Fargo’s Arizona network, bringing the total to 259.

The Green Valley-Sahuarita area will host two Wells Fargo locations; 360 W. Continental Road, and 18590 S. Frontage Road.

Integration for other business lines continues. Wachovia Securities has changed its name to Wells Fargo Advisors, and Wachovia Mortgage has been integrated to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.

John Backer earns SFR certification

John Backer with Morado Canyon Realty of Sahuarita has earned the nationally recognized Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource certification. The National Association of Realtors¨ offers the SFR certification.

According to a recent NAR survey, nearly one-third of all existing homes sold recently were either short sales or foreclosures.

The certification program includes training on how to qualify sellers for short sales, negotiate with lenders, protect buyers, and limit risk, and provides resources to help Realtors stay current on national and state-specific information as the market for these distressed properties evolves.
