ObituariesShe was born in Hinsdale, Ill. on June 25, 1932, and resided in Crystal Lake, Ill. until 1987. She and her husband have enjoyed retirement in Southern Arizona since that time, traveling all over the world and basking in the Arizona sun. Jean was a longtime PEO member and a charter member and past president of the DI chapter in Green Valley. Jean loved crafts, singing in the church choir, hospital volunteer work, shopping, swimming, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by George Hartung, her husband of 53 years; her daughter Barbara Gustafson of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; one brother Jack Huber of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and two grandchildren Amy and Clayton Gustafson, also of Highlands Ranch. Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 7650 N. Paseo del Norte, Tucson, AZ 85704. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean’s name to the St. Andrew’s Preschool Scholarship Fund at the church address or the American Lung Association of the SW, 102 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85003. We all loved her so much and she will be dearly missed.
