Colorful quilting will be the main focus of Desert Hills Lutheran Church’s 7th Annual fall craft, bake and book sale on Saturday, Nov. 7..
Sewing bee co-chair Diane Johnson said about 100 quilts will be displayed and for sale along with hand-made tableware, aprons, jackets and vests.
“This is a group effort with about 50 women displaying. All profits will go to charities and will include the Green Valley Community Food Bank, New Beginnings for Women and Children, St. Andrews Clinic, Youth on Their Own and Navajo Mission School,” she said.
In addition to the quilt, craft and bake sale Johnson said there will be rolls and coffee in the morning, pulled pork sandwiches for lunch and a used-book sale.
“Everyone is welcome. You won’t be disappointed,” she said.
