The mine dust is back

Published: Saturday, November 7, 2009 6:15 PM MST

Editor:

I returned from Scottsdale to find that it happened again. All of my newly painted wrought iron was coated with mine tailing pile dust. It would not rinse off.

Thankfully, I have a power washer and got it removed.

This is not only a visual problem, but it is also a health problem. The last time it happened, we were promised that they had taken the necessary measures to see that it would not happen again. Well, it has. And now, they (the mining companies) want to start the Rosemont Mine.

There just might be a lawsuit in their future.
