LettersEditor: You see the signs in local businesses, “Buy local, dine local, keep $$ in Green Valley.” In these challenging economic times, we need to keep our dollars in Green Valley and support local business. However... 1. Until local businesses and the Chamber of Commerce can convince the Green Valley gas stations to price their gas competitively, I will drive to Tucson to buy gas and whatever else I need that day. And, at this point, I am so mad at local gas stations, I doubt I will EVER buy gas locally. 2. I am continually disappointed by the car repair shops in Green Valley and ... holding an elderly population hostage because they cannot or will not drive to Tucson. Green Valley is changing and there are younger people living here year around. Green Valley is going to have to change with the times. I would love to support local businesses and I do support local businesses who treat me fairly. If they do not, I mark them off my list pretty quickly. And, off to Tucson I go.
