The “Pardon Our Mess” signs in the lobby may have been the first indication that Rapid Sound Inc. of Green Valley was undergoing some sort of change. Of course, the helicopter delivering a new High-Field Magnetic Resonance System (the first to be installed in Arizona) would be another clue.

The new MRI/MRA system is perhaps a keystone in the transformation of Rapid Sound into the area’s “full service diagnostic imaging” provider. The new system takes its place among the digital mammography, multi-slice computed tomography (CT, CTA), echocardiography, digital X-ray, and ultra sound equipment at Rapid Sound.

According to Technologist Jim Doering, R.T.,“We now have the latest, most accurate, equipment available to doctors and their patients - we have even installed a new report system that can give doctors results in hours rather than days, if required.”

In addition to making space for the new equipment, Rapid Sound is putting the finishing touches on everything from new examination suites to a streamlined records and communications flow.

“We are almost totally digital, and that adds so much efficiency to our processes.” said Deanna McCrane, R.T.
