Pima County Sheriff’s officers responding to a suspicious activities call Saturday found 50 bundles of marijuana weighing nearly 2,000 pounds in a vacant Arivaca home.

The caretaker of the property called police after he found sleeping bags and trash inside the building, which had been locked up and unoccupied for several years, according to a Sheriff’s report.

When police arrived at the house in the 1500 block of West Cota Road, they found multiple marijuana bales inside the bathroom and garage, along with several partially smoked joints in the main room near the sleeping bags, the report said.

They also found a Ford F-350 truck outside the residence that had been reported stolen from a car rental company.
