Marvin Kreider and his wife, Barbara, moved to Green Valley from Elkhart, Ind., 22 years ago. Marvin was involved in a successful RV business in Elkhart, but according to his son David, he got sick of the ups and downs of that business and decided to move everything to Green Valley.

Twenty-two years later, Marvin and Barbara’s Green Valley H&R Block operation has an office that has simply run out of room.

Their new location in the Continental Shopping Plaza is spacious and better suited to handle the influx of tax returns and tax preparation pros (18 this year) that make up their busy season from January to April 15.

Recently, their operation was designated as a “Premium” H&R Block office.

“Part of the need to move to a larger location was driven by being awarded our Premium status,” said David Kreider, office manager. “Premium status means your personnel have completed the training and have the expertise necessary to handle more complex returns, service business clients, and create advanced tax strategies.”

In addition to the usual tax, bookkeeping and tax advice part of the business, keeping up with the constant changes in the tax laws can be a daunting task. To handle that, the Green Valley H&R Block office puts on an 11-week tax school that brings new tax preparers up to speed, and also delivers additional course work to keep seasoned tax preparers on top of their game.
