TED WELDON, 72, of Green Valley, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009.

Ted was born in Nebraska and graduated from Doane College in Crete, Neb. He taught school and coached football and later received his master’s degree.

He entered the agri-business field and lived in Nebraska and Iowa. He moved from Eldora, Iowa to Green Valley in 1999.

He loved playing golf, painting “Casa Rocks” for friends, telling stories and being with his family and friends. He also loved feeding all kinds of animals, especially birds.

He is survived by his wife Jayne; son Matthew Weldon and family of Nevada; daughter Melinda Scarff and family of Nebraska; and Michael Weldon and family of Iowa; as well as six grandchildren.

He will be missed.

Services will be held in Elkhorn, Neb. at a later date in November.
