JOHN BENNETT, 72, a resident of Green Valley for five years and formerly of Illinois, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009.

He is survived by his wife Janis Bennett; son Jeffrey (Ellen) Bennett; and grandchildren Hope, Blair, Luke and Owen Bennett. Also surviving are brothers James and Gary Bennett; and sister Kathy Williams.

He was preceded in death by parents Ada and Willis Bennett; brothers Bill, Don and Dale Bennett; and mostly recently by son Jay Bennett.

Professionally, John was an educator. Personally, John was a friend.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John’s name to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC.org). Their mission is to provide a place for families to stay together while children receive needed medical treatment.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at Good Shepherd UCC, 17750 La Canada, Sahuarita, AZ 85629.
