DONALD BARMORE passed peacefully at home on the morning of Oct. 13, 2009, with his loving wife of 30 years, Annie Barmore, at his side. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on May 28, 1930, the eldest son of Daisy and William Barmore.

He is survived by his wife; two brothers; a sister; four sons; and eight grandchildren. Having lived for most of his life in the Central Valley and Bay Area of California, Donald enjoyed the last six years as a resident of Green Valley.

His life accomplishments include an Undergraduate Degree in Mathematics from San Jose State University in 1961, six years of honored service in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and a distinguished career of 30 years as a systems engineer with the IBM Corporation.

Donald will be fondly remembered for his irreverent sense of humor, an unwavering commitment to his family and an infectious love of animals, nature and the great outdoors. He will be profoundly missed.

His family requests in lieu of flowers, tax-deductible donations are sent to Carondelet Hospice and Palliative Care, 630 N. Alvernon Way, Suite 361, Tucson AZ 85711.

A memorial service for Donald will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Desert Hills Lutheran Church, 2150 S. Camino del Sol, Green Valley.
