A recent Gallup Poll notes the popularity of our U.S. Congress at 22 percent.
What can we do to change this? We do not vote for Congress as a whole but can only cast our vote for the representative in our district; in my case, in the 8th District of Arizona where I am currently represented by Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
She poses as a Blue Dog Democrat, but, when the chips are down votes as needed with the party leadership.
Face reality, a vote to re-elect Rep. Giffords in 2010 is a vote for Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Reps. Barney Frank, Charles Rangel, Henry Waxman, and other powerful committee chairmen to continue their spending and concentration of power in Washington.
We cannot leave it to the voters of California, Massachusetts, and New York to throw the rascals out.
Let’s nominate and strongly support a worthy opponent to Rep. Giffords in the 2010 election to show our opposition to this unpopular Congress.
