JERRY JAN CONLEY, 69, of Green Valley, passed away on Oct. 7, 2009.

Born May 22, 1940, Jerry grew up and attended high school in Tucson. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy to become an electrical engineer.

He worked at Kitt Peak and then in the engineering department at E.F. Johnson in Waseca, Minn. for 23 years. Later he worked for Microlite Technologies, where he held several patents. He was also an Arizona history buff with an amazing memory.

He is survived by his wife Susan; children Amy (Shane) Baker, Herminia Conley and John Conley; grandchildren McKenna, Lucas and Kamryn Baker; as well as sister Conda (Chet) Dyche and sister-in-law Mitzi Schenk.

He was preceded in death by a son Christopher in 1979.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, with visitation preceding beginning at 9 a.m.

Remembrances in Jerry’s honor may be made to a charity of your choice.
