ObituariesShe was born Oct. 17, 1932, in Freeport, Ill. to Joseph and Mary (McGurk) Meyers. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marquette University in 1954. She was married to Dr. William F. Schorr on July 16, 1955. After marriage, they lived in Duluth, Minn., Miami, Fla. and Caracas, Venezuela, before settling in Marshfield in 1963. She loved her family and dear friends. She was an adored wife and mother who, always and only, thought of others. To those who knew her, she was the epitome of human decency — never in her life did she say so much as a single unkind word about anyone. Marianne is survived by her husband William Schorr; their three children Betsy (Charlie) Liggitt of Redstone, Colo., Tom (Nancy Cook) Schorr of Frisco, Colo. and Robert (Desiree) Schorr of Whitsett, N.C.; as well as two grandchildren Miranda and Sebastian Schorr, also of Whitsett. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to give a memorial do so to the charity of their choice. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
