ASU releases poll on health care

A Cronkite/Eight Poll released today at Arizona State University says:

  • 50 percent of those surveyed believe the health care system needs major changes; 31 percent said minor changes would do; 12 percent said the system is fine.

  • 78 percent are very satisfied or generally satisfied with their health insurance; 15 percent were somewhat dissatisfied or very dissatisfied.

  • 53 percent said they disapprove of President Obama’s handling of health care reform; 38 percent said they approve.

    About the poll: Conducted Thursday through Sunday by ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and Eight/KAET public television; involved 724 registered Arizona voters; sampling error plus or minus 3.6 percentage points.
