KIll a cyclist and you get less than $300 in fines. See www_notonemorecyclist_com and pass this on to as many people you know. " Gary wrote on Sep 25, 2009 11:58 PM: " A disgrace. Take a life and pay a small fine. Jail and lifetime loss of license would have been fair. " Joan wrote on Sep 26, 2009 6:07 AM: " A slap on the wrist! Jerome was killed due to his negligence and he is fined $154! Somehow this article cries out for justice. It is WRONG and the Arizona laws should be changed " Donita Gross wrote on Sep 26, 2009 6:47 AM: " I read and re-read the story about Mr. Armstrong paying two traffic fines in regard to the death of bicyclist Mr. Featherman. Though I'm sure it was not an iintended accident, is that the extent of the law in such cases? " Kay wrote on Sep 27, 2009 3:04 AM: " This is just WRONG! He killed another human being! Wrong...way wrong! " Kay wrote on Sep 27, 2009 3:12 AM: " Also...My son was ticketed for a rolling stop. At midnight, he was not drinking and has never been stopped before. The fine was 164.00 or the traffic school was 214.00. It cost my son almost as much to roll a stop sign at midnight as it does to KILL someone? This is just really WRONG! " J.V. wrote on Sep 28, 2009 7:52 AM: " Does Arizona not have laws on the books for either vehicular homicide or negligent homicide? " Del Duncan wrote on Sep 29, 2009 7:13 AM: " But let's see, if alcohol were involved, different story because it gathers headlines, attention, and dollars. This is a disgrace - it's okay to kill someone as long as your not impaired. You can be stupid, reckless, ignorant, inattentive, on and on, and get a slap on the wrist. Give me a break!!
