Civilized adults

I would like to issue a challenge to the residents of Green Valley. At the Sept. 1 town hall, let us show Gabrielle Giffords that we are mature, thinking adults in Green Valley, even when we have differing opinions.

There is much to learn and to be debated about the health reform proposals that get shoved aside when the shouters come and deliberately disrupt a health care Town Halls.

Do we want a country which makes decisions according to who shouts the loudest? Let us put away the known untruths and look at the real assets and obstacles to quality health care for all in our country.

I am not proud that our country is ranked 17th in the world in health care. We can and should do better. Let’s talk about how … together.
