Bugs will be the topic at Colossal Cave Mountain Park at 2 and 4 p.m., with a Bug Hunt at 3 p.m. Speaker will be Carl Olson, Associate Curator of Entomology, U. of A. Aug. 3

Adult Loss of Hearing Association meets at 10 a.m. at La Posada. Lisa Furr of the Arizona Relay Service returns with more information on Cap-Tel telephone that allows folks to read what is being said on a digital display screen. In addition, she will talk about the relay service, explaining how it works and what it can do for hard of hearing and deaf folks. Lisa is deaf and will be using a person who will use sign language to help her when answering your questions.

Aug. 8

Tucson Raging Grannies are issuing a call to action on nuclear disarmament and conversion at 7 p.m. at Reid Park’s Cancer Survivor’s Plaza. Ellen Thomas of Washington D.C.’s Proposition One Campaign is promoting HR 1653 calling for U.S. ratification of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty. Information: Margaret Pecoraro, 885-3908.

Cinema Under the Stars in Tubac Plaza presents “Edgar Cayce: The Beautiful Dreamer.” Film starts at 7:30 p.m.; 90 min., All ages; $5; Proceeds to benefit teen and young adult rehabilitation programs and Avalon Gardens internships of Global Community Communications Alliance 501(c)(3). Winner, “Most Thought-provoking Documentary,” Sedona International Film Festival 2005.
