News“No more pork and stimulus” “Millions, billions, trillions. Oh my!” “Clean House - and Senate in 2010” “Gov. Brewer: No New Taxes” These are some of the signs protesters will be waving on Saturday, between 8 and 10 a.m. when they stage a political protest “TEA Party” at La Canada and Esperanza. Organizer Kay Kohler said anyone who is against higher taxes and outrageous spending is welcome. Political affiliation is unimportant; the event cuts across party lines, she said. Since there is no town center in Green Valley, the corners of La Canada and Esperanza, which have been used for other political protests, are seen as the crossroads. Kohler and some of the tea party group that includes Sue Mayes, Jo Runstrom, Connie Sell, John Voorhees and Patti Woolley held a similar tea party April 15. More than 200 protesters signed the roster with many attending who didn’t sign, she said. “We don’t feel that the Legislature, Congress or the Senate pays attention to the people. They raise taxes and spend money willy-nilly. “Tea parties have started to get the attention of legislators. We citizens want to make a point — mainly it’s a tax issue. Tea parties were stimulated by the bailouts. We’re outraged. It’s at a point where people have reached the breaking point,” she said, adding that TEA stands for Taxed Enough Already. She quoted late Illinois Sen. Everett Dirksen, who served from 1950-69, who said, “A billion here, a billion there and pretty soon you’re talking about real money.” “We want to make ourselves visible rather than be silent and sending e-mails that fall on deaf ears,” Kohler said. “If you’re sick of it, come out and wave a sign.” For more information call Kohler at 520-904-9103. Old saying goes " CUT OFF THE HEAD OF THE SNAKE" but people will still vote for the same politicians in their district. Above statement means to vote them out and constantly call their offices with your concerns about upcoming legistration.Log your calls and post them with answers. IF YOU LIVE NEAR a Poltician that is voting on all issues that raise your taxes and is destroying this country and have any DIRT on them,post it,make sure you have the proof before any posts. New sign " NEVER VOTE FOR A LAWLER" as they only create laws that benefit them and their counter parts.This is the reason why Health Insurance/Automobile etc is so high. They take 33% or more on settlements,to which if they came under the Ricco act,they would be in jail. Class Action lawsuits!!!!!!! You are hurt or a loved one dies of a defective medication/product,who benefits?? The Attorney/Law Office makes millions and you get a $1.00 coupon for Mcdonalds"[This is just an example]! Create your own websites for your district and post your politicians representation of same. Is he or she listening or voting the opposite way. Remember that they should cast a vote for the people they represent . Did you ever get a call and asked how you felt by a any biil pending? Have you ever received a phone call back? I,as a Retired Police Officer who worked in a State Capitol City,and having also served in a State House as a police officer providing security for politicians,I know the games they play. They were not all corrupt,very few back then. I left the State Police and joined the City Police because I saw the corruption growing. WAKE UP PEOPLE as your children and grandchildren will be living in the new 3rd world country! Only you can rise up now and stop it! I can go on,but,how many people will listen and rise to the call to take our country back! "
