Two public meetings on road construction

The Pima County Department of Transportation, Arizona Department of Transportation and the Regional Transportation Authority are inviting the public to attend two construction meetings this week in Green Valley.

A pre-construction meeting for the improvements at Continental Road and Camino Del Sol will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at the First American Title meeting room in the Green Valley Village, Suite 24, on the west side of the complex. The meeting will have an open house format with a short presentation at 2:15 p.m.

The meeting will provide information on the project features, including a roundabout at the intersection, bike lanes, multi-use lanes, the construction schedule and construction detours.

A construction kick-off meeting for the improvements along the I-19 East Frontage Road from Canoa Road to Continental Road will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Continental Shopping Plaza, 210. W. Continental Road, Suite 248. A short presentation will be given at 2:15 p.m.

Residents will be able to meet the contractor and learn about the construction phasing and schedule.
