What a difference a move across Continental Road has made for the Green Valley-Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce.

It was a small move in distance but a big move up in square footage and amenities. Executive Director Jim DiGiacomo and about 50 Board and Chamber members and volunteers on Thursday celebrated the March 1 move to Presidio Pointe with an open house and ribbon-cutting.

Thursday’s rain moved the ceremonial ribbon cutting into the spacious lobby of the building, 270 W. Continental Road, Suite 100.

The move has increased the Chamber’s space from 1,500 to 2,500 square feet.

“We were able to expand and can do more for members. There’s more privacy and space for meetings and we’re able to create more amenities for visitors,” DiGiacomo said. “We’re also operating more efficiently.”

The large, light-filled lobby is welcoming to visitors and makes the colorful covers of the many brochures and Arizona travel pamphlets easier to see and more attractively presented.
