Man, 19, held in murder of girl, 7

Pima County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man in connection with the death of a 7-year-old girl in Ajo.

Loretto Kyle Alegria, 19, was booked on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of the girl, whose body was found in a wash by two young girls on bikes about 7 p.m. Thursday.

A Sheriff’s spokeswoman said the body had obvious signs of trauma and that evidence was found at the scene and in a home that led them to believe the girl was killed in the residence.

There is no motive in the case, officials said.
