My friend, Mossimo, and I are both very sad right now because our dad died suddenly and we have nowhere to go. Our “auntie” is caring for us for a while, but since she already has two other cats who aren’t awfully fond of us, we can’t stay with her.

I am a beautiful, blue-eyed, calico and white, declawed, 10-year-old lady who needs a shot of insulin every day, and I just sit in your lap while you give it to me. I am a very laid-back lady who loves to be brushed, sit next to you or in your lap, and to curl up in bed with you at night. I’m hoping that I can find a gentle soul who won’t think that a “special needs” cat is any trouble at all.

Since I am part of TALGV’s Offsite Program, there is no fee for adopting me. To visit me and see what a sweetheart I am, please call my auntie at 648-6476 or the Offsite Cat Coordinator, Linda Moser, at 399-2526 .

Like almost all of my orange tabby brethren, I am outgoing and sociable and feel that I have to make friends with everyone I meet! I was found at a house way out on West Continental Road where the lovely lady had several feral males hanging around. When I appeared on her doorstep, she discovered that unlike the others, I was the sweetest thing in the world and that I have the “Three Ps” everyone wants in a cat - I love people, petting, and purring!

I was already neutered and have been checked by the vet and declared “healthy as horse,” so now all I need to complete my life (and yours) is a home where I can share all my “wonderfulness” with my human family!

If you want an enthusiastic, stick-to-you-everywhere-you-go, kind of girl, you’ve certainly come to the right place! I am a young (less than a year old), black and white, terrier mix girl who looks a lot like I have some Jack Russell in my family tree.

I was found wandering on Pima Mine Road north of Rancho Sahuarita, and I was positively exhausted when I arrived at TALGV. Now that I’m getting to know the ropes around here, each day I scope out all my potential future “people” when they come through.

I just know that pretty soon that special person will walk by my room and when our eyes meet, we’ll know that it’s going to be a match made in heaven! Don’t you think it’s time you took a ride over here to check me out?

The intersection of Continental Road and Interstate 19 is not the place for a little girl like me to be roaming, but (lucky for me!) that’s where I was found. I am a 4-month-old, 28-pound, solid tan (except for my one white paw!) shepherd mix girl who is already making lots of friends here - of both the canine and human sort!

I love to give you slurpy kisses and to be right next to you all the time, so if your home is missing that “certain something,” then I think I can tell you what it is: ME!! Won’t you let me into your life so that I can spend the rest of mine making you glad every day that you did?

For more information about these and other lovable pets waiting for their own, special home, visit The Animal League of Green Valley at 1600 W. Duval Mine Road, call 625-3170, or visit www.talgv.org.

If you can spare a three- or four-hour block of time each week, please contact TALGV to find out about the many volunteer opportunities available, and to find out more about a rewarding in-home experience, please stop by and ask about our foster program. Our hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 7 days a week.

Paws Patrol kittens

Just as in a mixed bag of candy, you have your choice with these three 2-month-old black male kittens that will be ready for adoption on Friday, June 26, but can be reserved now.

Hershey

I have short hair and love to be cuddled and played with. I’ll make someone a wonderful friend.

Mars

I’m a little shy but I warm up fast when I get to know you. You’ll love my blue eyes, really unusual in a black kitty, don’t you think?

Snickers

I have a little white on my chest and a white tummy. I love to play and be cuddled and you won’t be able to resist my purr.

These kittens can be had for $65 each or two for $100. Don’t forget the cat adoption fair held the second Sunday of each month at Green Valley Canine, 750 W. Camino Casa Verde.
