VIOLET L. MILLER

July 19, 1916 - June 6,2009

Violet L. Miller was born in Ellicottville, N.Y. in 1916. She was a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and taught piano lessons for decades in Geneva, N.Y. Mrs. Miller was active in musical societies and church activities in Geneva.

She married the late J.B. Miller in Malibu, Calif. in 1987, and resided in Green Valley. She was involved with the Green Valley Concert Assoc. and other organizations. She was a member of St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church and was a resident of La Posada.

Mrs. Miller is survived by three sons, James B. Miller of Mammouth Lakes, Calif., Bruce W. of Springfield, Ill. and Philip J. of Litchfield, Conn.; as well as eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of her life will be held at St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church on Wednesday, June 24 at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to St. Francis or St. Andrew’s Children’s Clinic.
