June 5

Green Valley members of the Air Force Association will meet at 11:15 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 2951 S. Camino Mercado. All AFA members and their guests are welcome.

Better Breathers Support Group meets at 11 a.m. at St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church, 600 S. La Canada Drive. Anyone with breathing problems is welcome. Information: Ed Gustafson, 648-7517.

June 6


American Legion Post 109 cold salad dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. will benefit Boy Scout Troop 770. $6 includes dessert and beverage. Public welcome.

June 11

Valle Verde Rotary Club meets at 6:45 a.m. at Green Valley Community Church. Barbara Dolan will report on Group Study Exchange in South Africa. Information: Lynne Skelton, 625-8286.

Green Valley Lions Club will have a luncheon at noon at the Elks Lodge, 2951 S. Caminio Mercado. Maj. Gen. Donald Shepperd, recognized authority on the Near East, will be honored. Visitors invited. Reservations: 648-5461.

July 18

Safeway Stores in Sahuarita and Green Valley will be conducting their seventh Kids Care Fair from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The stores raise money all year to provide shoes, socks, backpacks and school supplies for more than 700 area kids. Participants will be provided with a table and chairs and banners will be allowed. Call John Preininger, Green Valley store manager, 625-7283; fax 625-5424.
