JAMES DONALD SOULE, of Green Valley,

left this earthly plane on May 25, 2009, while in the company of his loving wife Helen Clark Soule.

Jim is survived by his children Tim (Robin) Soule of McAllen, Texas and Terri (Bob) Sickles of Kennewick, Wash.; his brother Scott (Jeanne) Soule of Green Valley; as well as two grandchildren Erin and Anne (Alex); and two great-grandchildren Sylvia and Philip.

Born in Brookings, S.D., Jim grew up in Hailey and Jerome, Idaho and went to school at Fresno State College in California. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in WWII, where he became a pilot and ferried injured soldiers from France to England. After returning to the U.S., he married Mary Anne Sauers, a flight nurse with whom he had worked in England. They settled in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he became District Manager for Farmers Insurance and later had his own real estate brokerage.

He and Mary Anne retired to Sequim, Wash. in 1985. After her death, he moved to Green Valley in 2004 and later met and married Helen Clark.
