Suspect illegal immigrants held in Tubac

About seven suspected illegal immigrants were apprehended in the Barrio de Tubac community, just south of Tubac, around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday by Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies and Border Patrol Agents. Judith Noyes said the scene unfolded in front of her home. She said deputies told her they’d been following a truck northbound on Interstate 19 for several miles and trailed the pickup when it exited at Aliso Spring Road and entered the subdivision.
