Pardon our dust

Published: Saturday, May 23, 2009 6:18 PM MST

The expansion program at the Country Fair White Elephant is ready to move into Phase Two of the construction.

Phase One prepared our new loading zone, container storage, new customer drop off, additional parking on the west side of the building, new loop road, new County Fuel Station (paid for by the White Elephant) and additional parking for the County Sheriff and SAV.

We apologize for the congestion during Phase One. The traffic pattern and parking will be improved during Phase Two.

Phase Two will begin with the clearing of the south side of the White Elephant site.

The current County Fuel Station will be dug up and removed. The White Elephant storage containers will be moved.

In addition to that we will move the trash bins and the Salvation Army trailer.

The new 17,200-square-foot addition will be built at the south side of the facility. We will also work on the west side of the building.

Half of the current parking lot will be lowered.

The new entrance to the White Elephant will be built on the west side of the building.

We want to thank all of are loyal customers, the wonderful people of Green Valley and Sahuarita and our outstanding volunteers.

Without all of you we could not do the work we do for the Santa Cruz Valley.

With the help of all of you we fully intend to maintain our current level of contributions back to the community.

We will fund the Hollace G. Roberts Educational Foundation so that they can continue their scholarship program to 20 local students.

We ask again that you pardon our dust and continue your wonderful support of the Country Fair White Elephant.

Alex Pavlin, President, Board of Directors
