NewsDr. Amy Rosenberg will address the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis, the pros and cons of hormone replacement therapy and current immunization requirements May 11 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Joyner-Green Valley Library. The talk is being held in conjunction of National Women’s Health Week. Rosenberg is a physician at United Community Health Care in Tucson. AAUW gives out 2 scholarships The Green Valley Branch of American Association of University Women has awarded two college scholarships through the Progress program at Pima County Community College. Progress helps women over age 25 plan their futures through education; this year’s recipients area Carla Roberts and Wray Milan. Moonlight Madness begins Saturday Moonlight Madness at the Titan Missile Museum begins Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The second Saturday night of the month through September the museum stays open late, allowing visitors to see the illuminated Titan and tour the museum when it’s cooler. Special children’s activities, led by the museum’s MAD scientists, include launching seltzer rockets, riding the gyro chair, tasting space food and taking the astronaut test. Future dates are June 13, July 11, Aug. 8 and Sept. 12. Admission is $7 for adults; children 12 and under are free. The last tour begins at 8 p.m. and reservations are recommended by calling 625-7736 or go to info@titanmissilemuseum.org. Taxpayer Town Hall set for Friday Legislators from Districts 25 and 30 have been invited to a nonpartisan Taxpayers Town Hall, Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Quail Creek Resort Community, 2055 E. Quail Crossing Blvd., Sahuarita. The free event is sponsored by the Arizona Chapter of Americans for Prosperity Foundation. State Reps. Frank Antenori and David Gowan have confirmed, and an hour of Q&A from the public is planned. RSVP at infoAZ@afphq.org. ‘Israel, Islam, Armageddon’ at Cornerstone Baptist At tonight’s 7 p.m. midweek service, Cornerstone Baptist Church, 18280 S. La Canada Drive, Sahuarita, will show the “Israel, Islam & Armageddon.” This will be a free, one-night showing of the film detailing the nearness of the final battle for Jerusalem. The video is described as a sweeping view of the past, present and future conflict in the Middle East among all the nations of the world.
