She’s beaming for Star Trek

Janet McCormack greets theater-goers with a Vulcan salute at Desert Sky Cinema in Sahuarita this week as part of her effort to promote the new “Star Trek” movie. McCormack says there isn’t a Trekker fan base in the Green Valley/Sahuarita area but wants to create excitement and get a group together for the premier. “I know there are other Baby Boomers out there who are Star Trek fans,” said McCormack, who has put signs on her car touting the release.
