May 8

The Aero Club of Arizona meets at 10 a.m. at Friends in Deed, 301 W. Camino Casa Verde. Club member Frank Sartamowicz, who flew P-61 twin-engine night fighters in the European theater in WWII, will speak. Following his retirement from the Air Force after 20 years, he worked for Texas Instruments and Northrup.

May 9

The Tucson Symphony Orchestra’s Flute Viola Harp Trio will perform at 2 p.m. at the Community Performing Arts Center, 1250 W. Continental Road. Tickets, $10, available at the CPAC, online or at the door.

Sixth Annual Ride for the Red sponsored by the Southern Arizona Red Cross starts at 9 a.m. at 5301 E. Broadway, Tucson. It will end at the AVA Amphitheater at Casino del Sol. All motorcycle models and their riders welcome. $25 per ride. www.redcrossarizona.org

Cats and kittens for adoption can be found at Green Valley Canine, 750 W. Camino Casa Verde, from 1 to 4 p.m. Lots of felines, all in foster homes, not kennels. Special price through May 31: $50 for one cat, $65 for two. Pawspatrol@cox.net

Green Valley Chamber Music Society will present a program of chamber music performed by members starting at 10 a.m. at St. Francis-in-the-Valley Episcopal Church, 600 S. La Canada Drive. Free and open to the public. Information: Wayne Gregory, 625-6642.

Widows & Widowers meet at noon at the Golden Corral, 1st and Wetmore, Tucson. Deborah Totten, Community Outreach, Carondelet Hospice, will discuss End of Life Directives. Tom Nickel will play the keyboard. Call Char, 625-4085, if you plan to attend.

Alzheimer Caregiver Support Group meets from noon to 1:30 p.m. Join us for lunch as well as the meeting. Respite care provided. Reservations: Carolyn, 648-5583.
