His geography is as confused as his history. This is America, not the Massachusetts Bay Colony! Clergymen don’t get to decide who stays and who must leave, or what we must believe or doubt about God.
I’m sure Mr. Lambert would have been happy banishing Roger Williams; or perhaps leading the Christians in Nauvoo as they cleansed its Mormons; or in more gentlemanly fashion, keeping the Jews out of the Country Club.
