LORRAINE R. THOMAS, born April 8, 1922, in Hatchita, N.M., passed away April 6, 2009, in Green Valley.

She retired in 1986 from U.S. Customs and moved to Green Valley to swim, quilt, and join the Red Hatters, VFW and Tucson Cowbells.

She was preceded in death by her parents Otis and Maggie Roberson; brother Delbert; husbands Sam George and Cliff Thomas; and youngest son Christopher George.

She is survived by daughters Colleen (Jim) Walech and Kathie (John) Bailey; and son Mark (Teri) Thomas; as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will take place at Del Coronado Retirement Apartments on April 25, 2009, at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Tucson Cowbells.
