Renewable Energy Expo

set for April 11

The second Santa Cruz County Renewable Energy Expo will take place April 11 at the Santa Cruz County Fairground in Sonoita.

The expo features presentations and displays from several organizations representing solar, wind, biodiesel and other energy resources.

Purpose of the expo is to provide the public with information about renewable energy systems and how to best install and use them. More than a dozen manufactures and energy related organizations will display the latest solar, hot water, wind turbine, and bio-mass power generation systems.

Tully appointed

CEO of AAA Arizona

The AAA Arizona board of directors has appointed current president Michael Tully as the new chief executive officer of the auto club.

Jim McDowell had held the post for 12 years.

AAA Arizona is the state’s largest membership organization and has served as an advocate for motorists and travelers for nearly 85 years.

Maxwell Remodelers

launches new service

Green Valley’s Maxwell Remodelers Inc. has launched a new House Check service designed to give homeowners peace of mind while they are away.

Managers Jan Christensen and Mark Lamberton said the service is based on homeowners’ requirements, including periodic monitoring of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and roof systems.

Additional services include appliance checks and pest control. House Check service packages start at $25 visit.

Curves opens new

GV fitness center

Curves of Green Valley has opened a new location at 140 W. Duval Mine Road, Suite 108.

The women’s fitness center also is partnering with Avon to track weight loss over a 30-day period. Study participants will have access to the Curves 30 minute workout and must complete at least 12 workouts over the exercise period, with a minimum of three workouts per week.
