Border Patrol agents on horseback took 80 suspected illegal immigrants into custody east of Douglas on Friday.

Agents tracked the group for several hours and arrested them just outside of Fairchild Ranch. The group consisted of 79 Mexican males and 1 Mexican female. All were taken to the Douglas Border Patrol Station for processing.

The 80 people were fingerprinted and agents discovered 21 of the men had criminal records; one had been convicted in California for vehicular manslaughter, according to the Border Patrol.

Tucson Sector agents have arrested 81,130 illegal immigrants in the first five months of Fiscal Year 2009 (October through February).
