Biker, 71, dies in motorcycle crash

A motorocycle rider died Wednesday when he missed a turn and hit a road sign on Arivaca Road, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Office.

Kurt W. Brosig of Edwards, Colo., was dead when deputies arrived on scene after the accident about 11:35 a.m. in the 15700 block of West Arivaca Road at milepost 6.

Brosig, 71, was riding with two other motorcyclists when the accident occurred. He was wearing a helmet and speed is a possible factor, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said.
