Obama’s gyrations

Published: Saturday, March 7, 2009 7:25 PM MST

President Obama, you recently stated, “I don’t pay any attention to the gyrations of the stock market.” Well, Mr. President, the rest of the nation sure the heck is paying attention because our future is being destroyed by your ridiculous reaction to the housing and banking crisis.

A 3,000 point drop in the Dow since inauguration day isn’t a gyration sir; it’s a plunging disaster. Perhaps your tax dodging Secretary of Treasury can try to explain to you that the stock market’s 20 percent loss, the worst for a president in 90 years, reflects how the markets perceive the future, not the past.

Barney Frank and Chris Dodd protected Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae from oversight three times in the past nine years, so don’t even think about blaming President Bush; the markets are reacting to you and your policies.
