Obituariesof Cottage Grove, Wis., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, at her home. She was born on Aug. 6, 1924, in Victoria, Texas, the daughter of Isaac and Beulah (Rackley) Haynes. Dollie married Robert A. Daugherty on Jan. 26, 1946, in Merced, Calif. Robert and Dollie owned and operated Superior Coach Sales in St. Louis, Mo., retiring in 1979. Dollie moved to Green Valley after retiring. In May 2008, she moved to Cottage Grove to be near family. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Green Valley. Dollie enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, and was an avid golfer. She was past secretary of Arizona State Golf Assoc. Dollie is survived by two sons, Philip (Becky) Daugherty of Stoughton, Wis. and Paul (Karen) Daugherty of Anchorage, Alaska; a granddaughter, Kelly Daugherty of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters Opal Mandarich of Clovis, Calif. and Romona (Gary) Tollett of Arizona City; brother Claude (Vera) Haynes also of Arizona City; sister-in-law Verna Haynes of Casa Grande; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1978; sisters Elizabeth Bryant and Ethel Moldenhaurer; brothers James Haynes and Douglas Haynes; and brothers-in-law Sam Moldenhaurer and Mark Mandarich. In honoring Dollie’s wishes, no services will be held.
